Fuck KU
Kwummy December 2nd, 2007
Mizzou had a better strength of schedule (26 to 109) and they fucking beat KU; we deserve a BCS game over future McDonalds employees.
Who was it that said the Cubs would get swept?
Kwummy October 6th, 2007
Oh, that’s right. It was me.
So, it looks like like I’ll be wrong about the Indians-Yankees series, but you know what, the Red Sox will probably sweep the Angels so that means I’ll be 2-2 in exact game predictions and 3-1 in overall predictions.
But none of that really matters as I was one of very few people who called for a D-Backs sweep. Hell, even D-Backs fans didn’t think they could sweep the cubs.
I said all year long the Cubs were overrated and that in a big-game situation against a team outside of their division they wouldn’t do jack. I even claimed the D-Backs would outscore the Cubs overall in the series, too, and I was called for an idiot for that.
But it seems the D-Backs outscored the Cubs 16-6 in the series.
Huh.
Am smart.
Weekend
Kwummy September 21st, 2007
Got a friend coming into town this weekend. I’m leaving work at noon today so I won’t be around much.
In the meantime, here are some stories you might find interesting for the weekend:
- Advanced Civilizations at the Edge of the Milky Way - One of the world’s leading SETI people thinks it’s possible
- Bigger Moon Base Planned - NASA plans on building a moon base that would be completely habitable
- Do-Not Call Listings Expire in 2008 - If you put your phone number on the Do Not Call List when it began in 2003, the expiration date is fast approaching. All you have to do is sign up again to prevent whackos from calling you at dinner.
- Next Season of 24 Brings Back a Dead Character - WARNING: Story contains a Season 6 spoiler. Read at your own risk.
Have a good weekend everyone!
My geekdom: Let me show you it
Kwummy September 20th, 2007
I’m going to be working on a group blog with a buddy of mine. I think I was the last person he asked so I don’t feel that important, but I’ll take my opportunities where I can get them.
It’s going to be related to all things “geek” (technology, science, gadgets, gaming, etc). It should be fun and I think it’s an awesome idea. If anything it will help me continue to hone my writing skills.
I’d like to make my site more geared towards stuff like that, it’s just hard because there’s so much information out there and I don’t have time to write about it all. I’m thinking of just doing some posts here and there where I briefly talk about stories that interest me.
I might link over to his site (if he lets me) of some of the stories I write about and post just little odds and ends over here related to said stories.
So, I’ll probably be working on that as well as this site and, oh, right, my real job.
I’m enjoying my position more simply because I’m going to be doing more interesting projects. The problem is I still hate the industry I am in and I really don’t like some of the people I have to work with. And now that one of the senior management is leaving it’s going to be even more difficult, especially if they hire some tool.
I’ll get my big break someday.
Someday.
And I’m out
Kwummy August 30th, 2007
I’ll be gone for the holiday weekend. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
It’s been a fun first week blogging for all of my adoring fans. I want to thank God, because without him this this wouldn’t have been possible. Oh, and I guess the Devil, too, because without the Devil, God wouldn’t have much to do. Everybody likes to feel useful.
Happy Day of Labor, kids!
How could I forget!?

A note about browsing the site
Kwummy August 22nd, 2007
Yeah, don’t do it in Internet Explorer. The site will still work in IE, it just won’t look as pretty. And since Skedoozy worked so hard on it, you should do us all a favor and not use it. You shouldn’t be using IE anyway, unless you’re forced to by an evil corporation who would rather pay you chicken feed than see you living happily.
But that’s another topic for another day.
For a more enjoyable Internet experience download either Firefox or Safari. (If you’re on a PC, Firefox is probably the better choice).
Firefox (and in Mac cases, Safari) will load pages faster, be more secure and take up less system resources than IE would.
I need HGTV up in this hur!
Kwummy August 21st, 2007
The site is currently a work in progress so it will be a little disorganized for the next day or two while I play around with it. Big thanks to Skedoozy for helping me out. We’ve nailed down the site layout and design, now I just need to do a little arranging.
Further updates as events warrant.
